The short version: MIDIMIDI is a free piano practice app. There is no account, nothing to buy and nothing to cancel. Everything you do is saved in your own browser — back it up, because we have no copy and cannot restore it.
These terms are between you and MIDIMIDI ("we", "us"). By using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use MIDIMIDI.
MIDIMIDI has no accounts and no sign-in. The app works in full the moment you open it, and your songs, recordings, practice history and settings are saved in your browser and are still there when you come back. Nothing is withheld from you for not registering, because there is nothing to register for.
MIDIMIDI is free. There is no subscription, no trial, no payment method to add and nothing to cancel.
If you would like to support the work you can donate through Ko-fi, one time or recurring. Donations are entirely voluntary. They buy nothing: they unlock no features, grant no priority and create no obligation on our part. Nothing in the app is or becomes paid because you donated, and choosing not to donate costs you nothing at all. Donations are handled by Ko-fi under their own terms, not ours.
You keep all rights to the MIDI files, recordings and other material you load into MIDIMIDI. Because it never reaches our servers, we claim no licence over it whatsoever.
You are responsible for having the right to use what you import. MIDIMIDI is a practice and transcription tool: do not use it to infringe anyone's copyright. The bundled starter arrangement of Für Elise is our own original arrangement of a public-domain composition, and is provided for use within the app.
Do not resell or redistribute the app, extract the source, disrupt the service, or use MIDIMIDI to break the law. Do not misuse the feedback form to send bulk or abusive email. We may block access that does these things.
Your songs, practice history, statistics and settings are stored only in your browser. Clearing your browser data, losing the browser profile, or a device failure will erase them permanently, and no copy exists on our servers to restore — we hold nothing, by design. Use Settings → Backup to export your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose, and to move it to another device.
MIDIMIDI includes open-source software and sampled instruments under their own licences, listed in the credits shipped with the app (Settings → Credits & licences). Those licences govern those components.
We work to keep MIDIMIDI available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; it may be unavailable during maintenance, outages, or events beyond our control. Features may change or be discontinued as the app develops.
MIDIMIDI is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent the law allows.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the loss of locally stored data described in section 6. Our total liability for any claim relating to MIDIMIDI is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, MIDIMIDI being free, will normally be nothing) or US$50. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights as a consumer.
You may stop using MIDIMIDI at any time; there is no account to close. Clearing the site's browser data removes everything it has stored. We may block access that materially breaches these terms.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before taking effect, and continued use afterwards means you accept them. We have no mailing list and no way to contact you, so this page is the authoritative record.
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, and the courts of Monterrey, Nuevo León have jurisdiction — except where the consumer law of your own country gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
